Help on the Local Plan
(This is an unofficial help page set up by HSRA to help on how to fill in the forms). Help page on Regulation 19: Town and Country Planning on Local Plan Part 2. Local Plan Part 2 (LPP2) is the second part of Waverley’s new Local Plan which covers the period 2013-2032 and contains policies that will be used to make decisions on planning applications. It also allocates additional sites for housing in parts of the Borough, reviews the boundaries of our town centres and local landscape designations. This is to give members of the public their final opportunity to make representations on the Addendum before it is submitted alongside the LPP2 as a Pre-Submission Plan to the Secretary of State for Examination. As a Waverley resident you may either comment on the Local Plan directly on the web portal or more easily by filling in Form A & Form B and Emailing to [email protected] . |

Support changes to Para 2.1 and the accompanying map
We support the settlement boundary as proposed in the Addendum. This complies with the recently adopted Haslemere Neighbourhood Plan, as well as protecting our important untouched greenfields on the edge of the settlement. Protecting these spaces from development is vital for our climate, whilst also enabling the focus for development to be on underused or vacant brownfield sites, in accordance with the NPPF.
Support for changes to Para 7.7, deleting of Proposed Allocation of Red Court site DS06.
We support the changes to the proposed allocations as detailed in Para 7.7 and the accompanying table. We should be seeking to protect undeveloped greenfield sites from unnecessary development. The proposed exclusion of the Red Court Site is strongly welcomed and supported. The development of this protected greenfield site will have a tremendous adverse impact on the landscape, the setting of the AONB and the South Downs National Park, as well as the Grade II listed Red Court house and lodge. The local infrastructure cannot absorb the additional number of people and cars that will be using this site, and the proposed highway changes to the surrounding area will have a severe adverse impact on the character of the area. The deletion of this site is therefore strongly supported.
Support for Proposed Allocation (new DS06) of The Royal School Hindhead
We support this proposed allocation. This site is to become vacant when the school relocates its pupils to the original and main school site on Farnham Lane. The Royal School Hindhead site is a brownfield site with well established good access links into and out of the site. The reuse of this site for residential accords with National planning policies which seek to reuse brownfield / previously developed sites in advance of greenfield sites. This soon to be vacant site can be reused to provide a good level of dwellings that will contribute to the local housing need. Furthermore the original building could be retained and converted as part of the development.

Second Method - bit clumersome
Form A is the representation form - this is for the details of who you are, plus asking if you wish to be kept informed. Download PDF from Waverley
If you are commenting on the Local Plan, please enter the number of pages for Form B. This will be at least 2, possibly 3.
If you can collect immediate neighbours or members of a group to provide a collective voice with the same views: Waverley state this in General Advice 4.3
4.3 Where groups or individuals share a common view on the plan, it would be very helpful if they would make a single representation which represents that view, rather a large number of separate representations repeating the same points. In such cases the group should indicate how many people it is representing and how the representation has been authorised.
